As Doby continued sharing her writing, she was eventually picked up by a publishing company which led her to create a collection of her first poems. She was using this platform for all her creative mediums to be on display. Her page started off as a collection of storytellings of the local people in Dallas. This motivated Doby to create an instagram account where she would start to share her writing with the world.
Īfter working in multiple management positions, Doby wanted to take her artists' mediums more seriously. During her college years, Doby worked as a cocktail waitress, a hair salon receptionist, and in sports retail.
She graduated from college at the age of 25, after taking a couple years off to pursue different outlets. She dedicated her interests to the lineage of women that influenced her to work from the heart. Doby grew up with an interest in the arts and was very passionate about using these outlets to express herself. Her immediate family was said to be very supportive throughout her early years and continue to cheer her on. She was a mother, father, and a younger sister.
